Here's how Gables Smile Studio actually started. I didn't set out to open my own practice. I spent my first few years out of dental school at a larger group in Miami, where a full day meant back-to-back patients and maybe twelve minutes each. I got good at working fast. I didn't get to know a single patient's actual smile goals, because there was never time to ask.

Fewer patients a day, longer visits, and a digital preview before any veneer or aligner tray gets ordered, so nobody's guessing what they're about to commit to. I finished my DDS at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and I still spend part of most weeks in continuing education, cosmetic dentistry changes fast enough that what was standard five years ago isn't anymore.

Home in Coral Gables
I opened the studio in Coral Gables in 2020, close to where I grew up going to the dentist myself, which probably explains why I care so much about that first-visit nervousness. Outside the practice, I'm usually at Books & Books with my two kids, or losing badly at dominoes to my father-in-law, who insists he's letting me win.
